Artesian Funds Waukesha County Community Foundation offers donors an opportunity, through its Artesian Fund program, to establish a named fund with a minimal charitable investment, and to gradually build a fully endowed fund that will make distribution grants. The program accommodates many types of donors - younger families, people wanting to become more familiar with philanthropy over time, and those who want to establish a fund now that will be increased through certain periodic additions or some planned future asset transfer. It is the Foundation's desire that Artesian Funds become fully funded in 5-10 years so that they become grant-making funds as soon as possible. Additional regular gifts are added to the fund and earnings are re-invested in the fund until it reaches the fund balance required for the type of fund selected by the donor. When a fund achieves the required balance, it becomes fully operational and earnings begin to be directed to community needs. Donors
may select a Donor Advised,
Field
of Interest, or
Unrestricted Fund,
which require a fund balance of $25,000; or a
Donor
Designated Fund, which requires a balance of $10,000. WCCF
