Waukesha County Community Foundation Announces 2023 Community Grant Recipients

More than $160,000 awarded to local organizations

The Waukesha County Community Foundation awarded 31 grants to nonprofit agencies serving Waukesha County during its annual Giving Forward event Wednesday, October 25. A total of $166,725 in grants were awarded, part of the over $2 million in funding awarded by the foundation through its competitive grant process throughout the years.

Held at the Brookfield Conference Center, the event also featured speakers making a difference in Waukesha County, including Vicki Wachniak, Executive Director of Life Navigators; Angela Mancuso, Executive Director of The Women’s Center; and Captain Brad Timm from the Oconomowoc Police Department K9 Fund.

Foundation president, Melissa Baxter shared an update on the Foundation and its vision for the future. “The best part of our work is when we get to help a generous donor connect to a community need that aligns with their values, plans, and vision of the future,” she said.
