The Bryce and Anne Styza Community Service Scholarship will honor one of the organization’s founding members
The Waukesha County Community Foundation (WCCF) today announced the creation of the Bryce and Anne Styza Community Service Scholarship.
The scholarship announcement helps kick off the WCCF’s 25th anniversary year and was named in honor of Bryce Styza and his wife Anne for their dedication to the Waukesha County community. Bryce, a co-founder of the organization, has a long history of business and community leadership. Pledging $25,000 of his own funding to begin the foundation in 1999, he also served as the first board chairperson for the WCCF.
The WCCF has a long history of supporting students, administering more than $800,000 scholarship dollars in 2023 in partnership with generous donors and local education/scholarship foundations.
“We know how important scholarships are for local students, and it’s been our honor to help connect donors to this pressing need,” said Melissa Baxter, WCCF President. “In our anniversary year, launching our own scholarship for Waukesha County students is an important way we are focused on the future.”
The WCCF Bryce and Anne Styza Community Service Scholarship was launched with establishing gifts from Tony and Andrea Bryant and Century Fence. Others who would like to contribute to the new fund can reach out to the WCCF directly or visit the donation portal.
The scholarship is open to any student residing in Waukesha County beginning with graduates in the Class of 2024. The $1,000 award will be distributed annually to a student who is pursuing post-secondary education and who demonstrates commitment to their community. The recipient will be featured at the WCCF’s annual Celebration of Giving event each June. The application for this scholarship will go live on the Foundation’s website January 8, 2024.
